Lori Friedhoff, her son Jared Friedhoff, and Mark Corbin of Rising Sun are passionate about making sure “ALL KIDS” have an option to play basketball. After learning some kids did not make their school teams, they decided to look for places for those kids to play. After much research, it was apparent there was nowhere for these kids to play. The three decided to take action after consulting Denise Rose of the Aurora Recreation Community Center and started offering clinics and workouts for grades 3-8. They volunteer their time for free and the only cost for the workouts is the non-membership fee for the community center. They want to keep their programs as low-cost as possible. They started spreading the word to all the surrounding communities in Southeast Indiana and the response was better than expected and the kids want to play! They decided to apply for a non-profit status to help further their vision and it was approved! They have now formed three teams and run clinics for the youth of Southeast Indiana all while working regular full-time jobs. It has been an uphill battle they keep fighting using their own funds and donations from some amazing community members but they keep pushing! They hope the surrounding communities rally around them with exposure, volunteers and sponsorships so they can continue to help the kids get on the court and start to offer more programs in the future!

IT’S ALL ABOUT THE KIDS.
